CCAOI’s achieves milestone towards Cyber Security & Surveillance for Cyber Cafés & CSCs
All corridors of the Government are talking about growth of rural India which is possible through access to internet and that shall be instrumental for e-learning, e-commerce, e-governance & tele-medicine. For making this India story of Bharat Nirman a reality, undoubtedly Cybercafés contribute as an all inclusive proposition for millions of Indians who get access and assistance on their terms. However, over security and surveillance challenges, 180,000 Cybercafés all over India have not been able to contribute as much as they can. It’s the additional cost without any direct returns that discourages Café owners for playing their role to empower Bharat. While we are aware of the threat posed by “Cyber Terrorism” and our role as conscious citizens to help Government in curbing the menace, yet the system required to authenticate Internet access & connect a piece of communication to its rightful owner and that too, storing it for a long period is an expense.

“But not anymore… The Bharat Model is a mass model and evolves from bottom of the pyramid.” echoes Amrita Choudhury-Director of CCAOI (Cyber Cafe Association of India). She confirms that like their earlier offerings such as Free Café management software, Near-to-zero cost bandwidth, Free language fonts & Free legal advice, now there is Free World class Security System for their members”.

CCOAI, in association with Connect9 & Airlink Wireless, has come out with a solution that shall finally make things easy for the cyber cafe owners, besides compliance of various State directives and IT Act by providing a Unique Identification (UI) to all cyber cafe customers & secured authentication. And all this for FREE with negligible monthly Maintenance Charges. “Using this UI, any person will be able to use cyber cafes all over the country, without having to prove his/her identity, every time.” “This shall help cybercafé owners to adhere to the government norms for tracking the details of every user” says Paramjit Puri, CEO Airlink Wireless. Airlink is the leading provider of secure Wi-Fi products and services in India and South Asia.

“Cyber Security & Surveillance System is the first step Connect9 takes for addressing the challenges faced by India’s Cyber Cafés", says Kapil M Kumar, Director Connect9.
